# How do I collaborate with someone outside my company?

To collaborate with someone outside your company, you must first ** [create an external account](/en/articles/2750958-add-a-user)** for them via the network settings. Only ** [network administrators](/en/articles/4100763-who-is-the-administrator-of-my-network)** have the ability to create accounts.

💡 Administrators can also change a user's account to allow them to create external type accounts.

Once your external has joined your network by setting his password, you can add him to the members of a ** [workspace](/en/articles/2614065-what-is-a-workspace)**. This person will then have access to the workspace ** [tasks](/en/collections/1415121-tasks)** and ** [meetings](/en/collections/3202989-meetings)** he/she has attended. You can also define the ** [access rights](/en/articles/5945919-meeting-access-rights)** of this person from the moment he/she appears in the list of participants of the meeting.

Only moderators of a workspace can manage its members. To add an external user to a workspace, the moderator must :

1.  Go to the workspace in question
    
2.  Click on **Members** at the top right of the screen
    
3.  A window opens, click on **Add a member** and enter the name of the external user.
